Research interest
Currently, my research involves investigating the antimicrobial and immunomodulatory properties of honeys produced in Kazakhstan. This work is being conducted in collaboration with the Republican Diagnostic Center, Nur-Sultan and the James Hutton Research Institute in Dundee. The micro-organisms we are testing the honeys against are those associated with wound infections and skin disease. Furthermore, I am interested in ultraviolet radiation exposure and its association with the development of skin cancer.
