World Family Doctor Day (FDD) –was first declared by WONCA in 2010 and it has become a day to highlight the role and contribution of family doctors in health care systems around the world.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the central role of family physicians in the delivery of personal, comprehensive and continuing health care for all patients.

Students of the MD program Class 2020 were providing the patients with information about existing screening programs in Kazakhstan and offering rapid diagnosis for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. More than fifty patients went through screening on that day.

It was a chance to celebrate the progress being made in family medicine and the special contributions of family doctors globally.
