WHO Flagship Course on Public Health Policy and Practice

NUSOM professors Byron Crape, Antonio Sarria-Santamera and students Kaznagul Sarkyt, Binur Orazumbekova are attending WHO Flagship Course on Public Health Policy and Practice, 10–14 February 2020, Burabai, Kazakhstan. The Flagship Course on Public Health Policy and Practice in Kazakhstan is set in the context of the essential public health operations (EPHOs) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It focuses on the practical application of key public health concepts and methodologies towards an effective nationwide public health service. The Course is designed to stimulate thought and discussion about the latest concepts in public health and how this knowledge can inform the vision and strategic direction of the public health service in Kazakhstan. The course is conducted under the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Bank’s “Social health insurance” project.
