The President of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu has addressed a letter to the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev. On behalf of the students, faculty, and the entire Nazarbayev University community, as well as “Jýsan” group of companies, Mr. Katsu expresses his gratitude to Elbasy for the continuous support and wishes him good health, well-being and many years ahead.

“COVID-19 started sometime in December of last year in China, it seems a local public health problem snowballed in a matter of weeks and months into a global pandemic of catastrophic dimensions, and has rapidly changed how societies interact within their communities and between nations. The highly contagious nature of COVID-19 imposes cessation of physical social contacts and forces isolation on people when they are at their most vulnerable. The pandemic is uprooting the very nature of humans as social creatures, and tearing at the fabric of humanity” – says Shigeo Katsu.
