Nazarbayev University accepts an alternative “Duolingo English Test” to determine the level of English proficiency for applicants who are not able to provide IELTS/TOEFL test due to force majeure circumstances.  A minimum score of 105 (if the minimum score for IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 79) or 115 (if the minimum score for IELTS 7.0/TOEFL 94) is required  for “Duolingo English Test” to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee (depends on the admission requirement of the program). Candidates with scores between 80 and 100 in “Duolingo English Test”  (IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 46) can be enrolled for Nazarbayev University Zero Year Program (NUZYP).

Final deadline for submission of IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo English test: 10 June, 2020.
