Biography
Selected Publications

He has been finished Karaganda State Medical Academy in 2004. After successfully finishing graduate education he was attending internship in Karaganda Region Children Clinic Hospital. According to his professional experience he was working from 2005 to 2008 in children hospital, pediatric anesthesiology and critical care unit, as intensive care doctor and anesthesiologist. In 2008 he was recommended by chief of PICU of Karaganda Region Children Hospital for the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health, Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Sazonov has been a member of Nazarbayev University School of Medicine (NUSOM) since October 2014 and has proven himself an invaluable member of our instructional staff. He has been responsible for the generation of significant course content in basic sciences, clinical course work and any other needed material for the MD, Nursing, and other programs. So far, He is Course Lead of the following courses: Basic Physical Examination, Clinical Experiences, Clinical Procedures, Anesthesiology Clerkship. Dr. Sazonov was awarded the Medal for Contribution in Healthcare in Republic of Kazakhstan in 2014 by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is also an active member of  European Society of Anaesthesiology.
Research interests
Dr. Sazonov’s current areas of research interests are:
– Improvement pain management, methods of anesthesia in children and infants
– Nutritional status of children in the early postoperative period, as well as children are on prolonged mechanical ventilation
– introduction of modern imaging techniques in routine practice in PICU
