Research Interest

Her research is focused on mechanisms of tumour cell plasticity and, in particular, on how Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) affects cytoskeletal remodelling, cell morphology, motility and invasiveness. She has been studying calcium-binding S100 proteins in the regulation of myosin dynamics and tumour cell motility in EMT cell models and tumour xenografts in Zebrafish.
Marina is currently serving as the Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports.
