Joseph U. Almazan is a graduate of Master in Public Management (Samar State University, Philippines) and Master of Arts in Nursing-Major in Clinical Supervision (University of San Carlos Cebu City, Philippines). He also a graduate of Doctor of Science in Nursing –Major in Gerontology (Cebu Normal University, Cebu City, Philippines). He has a total of 9 years of clinical/teaching experience both in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia and almost one year as a rural health nurse and a staff nurse experience. He participated in various international research presentations, keynote speaker, serves as a reviewer for several journals and publishes in ISI journals. He also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Psi Beta Chapter),Philippine Nurses Associations (PNA), International Association of Scholarly, Publishers Editors & Reviewers,Inc.(IASPER), International Association for Multidisciplinary Research (IAMURE), Philippine Associations of Institutions for Research, INC (PAIR) and National Organizations of Scientific Research Teachers Educations (NOSTE). His research interest are in the areas of geriatrics and gerontology nursing and older adult care, and nursing administration.
