Research Interest
Dinara Almabayeva graduated as a general pediatrician from Astana Medical Academy in 2008. Straight after the graduation she completed an internship and obtained a qualification of pediatric neurologist in Astana (2008-2009). Since then she has been working as a clinician in inpatient clinics including Regional Children Hospital, Republican Children’s Rehabilitation Center and National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health (current workplace).
In 2013 she was awarded the “Bolashak” international scholarship to study medicine in UK internship program. During 2013-2014, she upgraded her qualificational level in the Pediatric Neurology Department Clinical Neuroscience, Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton and University Hospital of Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr. Almabayeva’s career in NUSOM started in June 1, 2015. Since she has been working on the development of many basic and organ system block courses in clinical programs such as pediatric clerkship and etc., as a teacher and a course lead (for Neuroscience and BMI courses).
At the same time, she continues her career as a pediatric neurologist (part time) in National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health. Her sphere of interest is neonatal neurology and epileptic encephalopathies.
