Research interest
Dr. Arman Saparov has extensive research experience in both academia and industry, and successfully managed/co-managed complex research projects/grants in a multi-disciplinary environment with a total budget that exceeds 25 million USD. Currently, Dr. Saparov manages two research grants from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

“A Novel Drug Delivery System for the Treatment of Myocardial Infarction” (Principal Investigator).
The aim of this project is to design and develop a novel drug delivery system for the treatment of myocardial infarction and to study the mechanisms by which incorporated factors mediate their effects and ameliorate inflammation following myocardial infarction. This project should both increase our understanding of the mechanisms of incorporated factor-mediated cardiac repair as well as facilitate the development of new technologies for improving heart regeneration and repair.

“Development of a New Therapeutic Strategy to Enhance the Effectiveness of Atherosclerosis Treatment by Using Preconditioned Mesenchymal Stem Cells” (Co-Principal Investigator).
The aim of this project is to define optimal conditions for preconditioning human and mouse mesenchymal stem cells to effectively enhance their in vitro immunomodulatory properties and to study the therapeutic effects of preconditioned mesenchymal stem cells on the development of atherosclerotic plaques in the experimental model of atherosclerosis.
The main areas of research interest are: Immunology, Inflammation, Drug delivery systems, Biomaterials, Stem cells, Wound healing, Myocardial infarction and Atherosclerosis.
